Hello, and thanks for stopping by! Unlike many crafters, my passion for creating things didn’t start early. This wasn’t for lack of effort on my mother’s part. A woman of many talents, she was always ready to teach me the finer points of knitting, sewing, or crocheting – I just didn’t have the patience for it.
It wasn’t until I was in graduate school (and 1,200 miles from home) that my interest took off. I wanted something that could take my mind off protein purification and thought handmade gifts sounded cooler than gift cards. During a holiday break, I asked my mom to teach me to knit, and I’ve been trying to make up for lost time ever since!
